Busway Prototype

Overview

Prototype

You can try this prototype yourself and explore the file editor to see the variables in action! Currently, the option for a one-way trip hasn't been implemented, so a return date needs to be selected.

Figma Prototype

Key features of the prototype include:

  • An intuitive interface allows users to specify departure and return dates within a one-month timeframe.

  • Controls for choosing baggage preferences, passenger counts, and additional upgrades ensure that users can tailor their travel experience to their needs.

  • A transparent breakdown of all costs associated with the trip, including options and fees, is provided.

  • Form fields capture passenger details and process payments securely.

  • Error prevention mechanisms are in place to avoid common booking mistakes, such as setting a return date before the departure date

Reflection

Mastering Figma Variables

At first, Figma variables seemed difficult due to their abstract nature, which made linking elements feel counterintuitive. However, after watching many tutorials, setting up variables became enjoyable as I realized their power to streamline tasks and simplify changes across screens. This efficiency became evident as I iterated on the Busway Prototype, where consistent adjustments were necessary.
